Jazz Live at the Library – November 9, 2023 – Jamey Aebersold Quartet – 7:00-8:15pm
The Jazz Arts Foundation and the Lexington Public Library continue their Season 14 of “Jazz: Live at the Library”, a series of monthly concerts held at the Farish Theatre in the Central Library Branch, 140 East Main St. in downtown Lexington. Show #170 brings one of our favorite groups back to the library for their annual performance, the Jamey Aebersold Quartet. The group is led by jazz educator, publisher, musician and 2014 National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master, Jamey Aebersold. Joining Jamey on trumpet will be Tyrone Wheeler on bass, Jonathan Higgins on drums and Wade Honey on piano. These monthly concerts are sponsored by Jamey Aebersold Jazz, www.jazzbooks.com and the Jazz Arts Foundation, Inc. www.jazzartsfoundation.org.
Jamey has agreed to sponsor our Jazz Live at the Library concert series for 2024. Please come out and let’s show Jamey how much we appreciate his support of these performances.
