Jazz Live at the Library – January 12, 2023 – Osland/Dailey Jazztet – 7:00-8:15pm
The Jazz Arts Foundation and the Lexington Public Library begin Season 14 of Jazz: Live at the Library!, a series of monthly concerts held at the Farish Theatre in the Central Library Branch, 140 East Main St. in downtown Lexington. Show #160 features The Osland/Dailey Jazztet. Miles Osland, saxophone, has distinguished himself as an educator at the University of Kentucky, recording and performing artist, author, arranger and composer. Raleigh Dailey, drums, is an internationally recognized jazz pianist, composer, scholar, and educator. Paul Deatherage, drums, is the Instructor of Drum Set at the University of Kentucky. He is an active performer and educator in the central Kentucky area. Danny Cecil, bass, is an Adjunct Jazz Instructor at Marshall University. They are joined by Kirby Davis, saxophone, a former music student under Miles Osland and now a college educator and free-lance musician.
