Jazz Live at the Library – August 11, 2022 – Marlin McKay – 7:00-8:15pm

The Jazz Arts Foundation is EXCITED to announce the return of the monthly Jazz Live at the Library series with the August 11 (7:00-8:15PM) performance. As always, admission is free and the venue will continue to be the Lexington Central Library’s Farish Theater, 140 East Main, Lexington, Kentucky. Concert #155, called Good Mourning: The Music of Roy Hargrove, features the eight-member Marlin McKay Group. Jazz flugelhornist and trumpeter Marlin McKay has rekindled a project that began four years ago with the passing of one of his musical heroes, Roy Hargrove.

The Jazz Arts Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization whose mission is “to enhance the awareness of Jazz as a performing art.” Since its establishment in 1989, the Foundation has published newsletters, coordinated jazz calendars, awarded educational scholarships and sponsored many jazz events and performances.
