JAF Amended and Restated Bylaws Approved at March 1, 2017 Board Meeting

The Bylaws committee submitted their recommendations for updating the JAF Bylaws at the March 1, 2017 Board Meeting and they were approved unanimously by the Directors present. One significant change is the addition of a formal Executive Committee (EC) including the definition of an EC, Membership in the EC and the Duties of EC members. The Jazz Arts Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization whose mission is “to enhance the awareness of Jazz as a performing art.” Since its establishment in 1989, the Foundation has published newsletters, coordinated jazz calendars, awarded educational scholarships and sponsored many jazz events and performances.
