This year the Jazz Arts Foundation is very proud to name two recipients of the annual Duke Madison Memorial Scholarship from the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra Jazz Arts Orchestra. Attending the prestigious Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop under full scholarship will be Senior Henry Clay High School trombonist Braeden Young and freshman percussion major at SCAPA Lafayette, drummer Karson Caswell.

At the December 6th JAF Board Meeting the directors voted to hold quarterly meetings rather than monthly ones. At the December 6th Jazz Arts Foundation, Inc. Board Meeting current Director and Executive Committee member, Dave Birdwhistell, was elected President for 2018. Other officers elected were: VP – Teresa Tope, Secretary & Treasurer – Ron Allen, and Director/Executive Committee member – Terry Buckner. In addition, the following Directors were re-elected for 3 year terms: Ron Allen, Terry Buckner & Nathan Smith.
