Jazz Live at the Library – August 8, 2024 – Michael Cruse and Threo – 7:00-8:15pm

The Jazz Arts Foundation and the Lexington Public Library continue their Season 15 of “Jazz: Live at the Library!” a series of monthly concerts held at the Farish Theatre in the Central Library Branch, 140 East Main St. in downtown Lexington. Show #179 welcomes home Michael Cruse, playing with Threo. Michael, a native of Lexington, is now located in New York City. He is the son of Jazz Arts Foundation director/board member and treasurer Ponice Cruse. Michael will be playing trumpet along with Keith McCutchen/piano, Tom Covello/bass and Dave McWhorter/drums. POSTPONED Jazz on the Porch at Talon Winery – Gotcha’ Covered – July 28, 2024 – 3:00-6:00pm

It’s July and another Jazz on the Porch at Talon Winery is fast approaching. Our July concert, scheduled for Sunday, July 28,  3:00-6:00 pm,  will feature Gotcha’ Covered, led by our good friend Mark Gardner. Mark, playing keyboard, will be joined by three musicians making their first appearance on the porch. David Maynard will be on saxophone, Ben Cantrell will be playing drums and Danny Cecil will be strumming the bass. It should be a fun time. The Jazz Arts Foundation and the Lexington Public Library continue their Season 15 of “Jazz: Live at the Library!” a series of monthly concerts held at the Farish Theatre in the Central Library Branch, 140 East Main St. in downtown Lexington. Show #178 features the Mike Wade Bop Quintet. This group is led by Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Famer Mike Wade playing trumpet.
