Lexington  Arts Action Collective:  Bringing diverse entertainment to Lexington, the LAAC is "a collective-run, non-commercial/non-profit entity that aims to build community and encourage artists by fostering an environment of creative expression, shared learning, and social awareness.
 
Chris Mattingly:  UK Masters degree graduate, Guitar instructor and member of Z-Axis (a jazz combo who play "a lot of real book standards, some Wes Montgomery, Joe Henderson, Thelonious Monk, Jobim, etc."), JAF member, and plays with the BAJA band. The Kentucky musicians database:  This site is developed and maintained by Kevin Moreland, a "Lexington pianist helping central KY musicians find each other".  The site is a searchable directory of over 450 central Kentucky musicians, artists, and entertainers, updated weekly. Free versions available for mobile devices (WAP) and offline browsing. You can search the database for area and regional musicians by name, genre, instrument played, etc. This is a terrific resource for anyone looking for musicians to play with, to hire, or to just contact to chat with about your common interests.
 
Phoenix Entertainment:Clyde Gilpin's new web site can help fullfill all of your entertainment needs - from music, to services, to events.  You will find musicians from nearly all genres for hire as soloists, small to midsize combos, or midsize to large groups.  Clyde can handle weddings, rehearsals, all types of parties, major events, and you name it. Catering, staging, tents, lighting, sound, and much more (even limo service) is also available. If you are planning any type of event, you need to check this site.

Jamey Aebersold Jazz:  Website where you can purchase the world famous jazz "Play-A-Long" books by Louisville saxophonist Jamey Aebersold. Also included on the site is "Jamey's Calendar", free Jazz Catalog and Handbook, listings of Dealers inside and outside the USA, many jazz and music links, and much more.
